The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed about the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services position produced for intervention activities a high read more influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all prospects and maximize use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
